Product Introduction

For data centers, server rooms, and mass cold data storage, the need for easy physical access of multiple drives is very helpful in daily maintenance of drives. Through daily usage of large quantities of drives, it is evitable that a few drives would cease to function. When those drives cease to function, timely replacement of those drives is key to maintaining an operating data center. If dealing with large amounts of drives, manually ejecting individual trays can be time consuming, especially when trying to find the problematic drives breaking RAID arrays. A drive cage that has a mechanism to eject multiple drives would help in the physical management of drives and can lead to easier organization of drive sets.
The CP092-1 follows the same style of some server racks of multi-drive ejection, while retaining the tough durability found in our ToughArmor series. In one single action, 12 SATA/SAS drives can be physically accessed without any need of tools or keys. Upgrading the capacities of drives along with replacing multiple defective drives can be done quickly with minimum down time. Time not spent on unlatching drives can be spent in other important tasks.
Another benefit of having all drives on a multi-drive ejection rack is reducing wear on the individual drive connectors. Repeat insertion and removing of drives wear out the connector and may lead to a lower lifecycle of the drive. In a multi-drive ejection rack, the drive connector is not worn out when the rack is being ejected. The rack's connector to the drive cage is a VPX connector that is designed for higher durability from constant insertion and removal. In the event where a single drive needs to be removed, other drives in the rack does not have to be removed, lowering the amount of physical removals each drive need to have and prolonging the lifespan of multiple drives.
